The structure of rubber additives in our country is continuously adjusting

The structure of rubber additives in our country is continuously adjusting, the industry concentration is constantly increasing, green manufacturing is being promoted in an orderly manner, and prices and profits have declined. In the coming years, the tire industry in our country will show a medium to low-speed growth trend, and the development speed of rubber additives in our country has slowed down. The development of the rubber additives industry in our country should be driven by innovation to develop new types of additives, promote clean processes, advance high-tech manufacturing strategies through the integration of automation and information technology, and resolve excess capacity through mergers and acquisitions.

The rapid development of the automotive and tire industries in China has driven the rapid growth of the rubber additives industry. According to incomplete statistics, in 2014, rubber additives in our country accounted for more than 70% of the total global rubber additives, making China a global production country for rubber additives. Currently, our economy has entered a critical period of transformation and upgrading, as well as an important period of development strategy. The rise of tire greening, the implementation of new environmental protection laws, and the introduction of various environmental protection regulations in developed countries and regions have raised higher requirements for the greening, high performance, and serialization of rubber additives, which has also promoted organizational changes and deep adjustments in the industrial structure of the rubber additives industry. Our rubber additives industry is at a critical period of development.

After years of rapid development, the rubber additives industry in our country has formed a complete variety, a relatively reasonable product structure, and a comprehensive performance index system, which can basically meet the needs of the domestic rubber industry.

According to statistics from the Rubber Additives Professional Committee of the China Rubber Industry Association: In 2014, the output of rubber additives from member units was 1.5092 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 13.7%; the total sales amounted to 18.526 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.6%; and the export volume was 335,700 tons, accounting for 31.7% of the total output.
